Wonderful news! With the approval of the "Fit for 55" package, the European Union has made a huge breakthrough in its aim for a greener future. The European Commission's plan to require zero-emission vehicle registration for all new cars and vans starting in 2035 was officially adopted by EU Member States.

This accomplishment comes as a result of the compromise that the European Parliament and Council hit last year, and it represents the beginning of the implementation of the extensive legislative recommendations made by the European Green Deal. This is a significant step for achieving climate neutrality by 2050 and building a cleaner, more sustainable world by switching to zero-emission automobiles.

The new CO2 regulations mandate a 55 percent average emissions reduction for new automobiles by 2030 and a 50 percent decrease for new vans by the same year as a stopgap measure. These objectives play a crucial role in accelerating the shift to zero-emission mobility and guaranteeing a more sustainable future.
